Flanbwayan, asking for your much needed donation to help with its Hurricane Matthew relief efforts for the southwest region of Haiti.
Greeting,
We have identified 6 isolated provinces in the southwest region of Haiti needing acute support after Hurricane Mathew earlier last week plunged the humble nation into further deprivation.
We have also identified locals who can be trusted to disperse aid in a manner that can best help the people there who have lost their crops and livestock that they depend on for survival.
If you are looking to help out, please consider assisting us (
Flanbwayan.org). We are planning to send funds in the next days to these people to acquire drinking water, food, medicine and sanitary products to help avoid a subsequent crisis.
Further, the flood caused by the storm compromised many of the communal latrines (outhouses) in these areas as they overflowed, exposing the people to great filth and the potential for disease. We aim to hire locals to clear these latrines and hole new ones as necessary. This will help by providing temporary jobs and a much needed service that may otherwise be neglected given the circumstances on the ground.
